The NBA 2K17, possibly the greatest sports video game winner in history, will be hosting the second Park After Dark event on December 30th, and the hip-hop star Future will perform live based on reports.
After the fairly unsuccessful After Dark debut on November 26, 2K Sports will bring back MyPark's features a few days before New Year's Day. The party begins at 11 PM ET / 8 PM PT on Dec. 30. In Australia, the live event will start at 2 PM AEST / 3 PM AEDT on Dec. 31.
Like the first edition, players will be able to use Virtual Currency (VC) to purchase glow in the dark party costumes and other accessories. Players can participate in dunk and three-point games, except for a few games, all while the future will inspire the tune of the entire evening. By now, 2K Sports has not yet revealed the end of the event, but the party is expected to continue until the next morning.
After the debt incident, players have a lot of doubts on the NBA 2K17: Park After Dark second edition in the social media. 2K servers frequently crashed on November 26, unable to accommodate thousands of players to join the event. Of course, the game developers must resolve these defects before the next event.
Many players also complained about spending VC on items they have never received. 2K's Twitter representatives bombed by negative news, forced to apologize to the angry players. In recent weeks, the NBA 2K17 has launched a number of downloadable and server-side updates to boost network load. The latest patch does not specify changes to the online mode, but sites such as iTech Post have reported that game developers have focused on improving the Park After Dark experience.
